A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in school nursing to provide essential medical support in an elementary school setting. This contract position offers part-time hours and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the health and safety of young students requiring specialized care.
Location: Bradford, VT
Contract Duration: ASAP through June 2025
Hours: 10 hours per week, 1:00 PM 3:00 PM
Grade Level: Elementary
Openings: 1
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 medically fragile support to an elementary student, ensuring their health needs are met throughout the school day.
- Perform routine nursing assessments and provide direct care as required.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized health plans.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and administer first aid or other treatments as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Vermont.
- Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
- Experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred.
- Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a school environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage health documentation and collaboration.
