Providing dedicated healthcare support in an educational setting, this part-time role offers the opportunity to work as a 1:1 student support nurse RN within a school environment located in Monticello, MN. The position involves travel to the school and focuses on delivering personalized nursing care to support the health and well-being of a specific student.
Responsibilities include:
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the students healthcare plan
- Monitoring and documenting the students health status and any changes throughout the day
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care
- Responding promptly and effectively to health emergencies or concerns as they arise
- Educating the student and school staff on health-related matters pertinent to the students condition
Qualifications:
- Current and valid RN license with school nursing experience preferred
- Proven ability to provide 1:1 nursing support in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, families, and school personnel
- Ability to travel to and work within the Monticello, MN area schools
