Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Previous experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred
• Ability to deliver skilled nursing care and health assessments to students
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, families, and healthcare providers
• Comfort with documenting care and maintaining accurate health records
• Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing student needs throughout the school day
• Commitment to upholding privacy and confidentiality standards in line with HIPAA and FERPA regulations

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing 1:1 nursing support for a designated student, administering medication and treatments as prescribed
• Monitoring and documenting health status, taking prompt action in the event of a medical emergency
• Assisting student with activities of daily living to promote comfort and safety while at school
• Communicating regularly with school staff, parents, and healthcare team about students health needs
• Educating staff and peers as needed regarding the students safety or medical plan
• Following individual healthcare and emergency action plans with precision
