Make a meaningful impact supporting student health and wellness as a registered nurse in a dynamic school environment. This contract position is located close to Monroe, GA, providing an opportunity to collaborate with educators, families, and administrators committed to student success.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN license in the state is required
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong assessment and triage skills, with a calm demeanor under pressure
- Ability to maintain accurate records and protect sensitive student information
- CPR and First Aid certifications
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care to students experiencing illness, injury, or chronic health needs
- Administer medications and implement care plans according to physician instructions
- Promote a healthy school environment through illness prevention, education, and screenings
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student well-being
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies, following established protocols
- Document all interactions and maintain confidential health records
- Participate in the development of health policies and accommodation plans
