A California Licensed Registered Nurse is needed to provide dedicated healthcare support in an early childhood school setting in Mission Viejo, CA. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year and involves onsite work with a 1:1 caseload, focusing on delivering personalized nursing care to a single student throughout the day.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing suctioning, tube feedings, and respiratory assistance regularly
- Managing healthcare needs of one student in an early childhood environment
- Ensuring safe transportation assistance between home and school (student lives nearby)
- Working predominantly five days per week, 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., totaling 35 hours weekly
- Collaborating with educational and healthcare teams to support student health and well-being
Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in an early childhood or school nursing setting
- Competence in respiratory care techniques and feeding tube management
- Strong communication and organizational skills for successful 1:1 nursing care
