Step into an important role supporting student wellness in a school setting near Minneapolis, MN. This onsite contract position offers a chance to work weekday mornings, making it ideal for professionals seeking a balanced schedule. Skills and Experience Sought:
- Active MN RN or LPN license required
- Previous experience in schools or with pediatric populations
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to respond to urgent health needs calmly and efficiently
- Comfortable collaborating with school staff, families, and students
- Adaptable and able to manage diverse health concerns across multiple grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to K-12 students during school hours
- Assess, triage, and manage student illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Educate students and staff on relevant health topics and preventive care
- Support school health initiatives, screenings, and immunization monitoring
- Communicate with parents and caregivers regarding student health plans
