Job Description

A school district in the Minneapolis area is seeking a Registered Nurse to fill a Per Diem, strictly on-call position supporting K-12 students. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to provide essential nursing care in a school setting during periods of call-outs and planned nurse absences.

Location: Anoka, MN
Position Type: Contract School Year (January 12, 2026 June 5, 2026)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, on an as-needed basis; no guaranteed hours
Caseload: Coverage for nursing office nurses or direct student support nursing roles on call

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care and health services to students in a K-12 environment
  • Support nursing staff during absences or scheduled time off
  • Respond promptly to call-ins for coverage needs, ensuring continuity of care
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to promote student health and safety
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions and communications

Qualifications:

  • Current and valid RN license
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Ability to provide flexible, reliable coverage on short notice
