Job Description
Provide essential healthcare services in a school health office setting as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position in Milton, VT, offers the opportunity to deliver nursing care directly to one schools student population, ensuring a safe and healthy learning environment.
Location: Milton, VT
Position Type: Contract
Schedule: 3-5 days per week
Student Population: K-12
Caseload: One school health office
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage student health needs, including acute and chronic conditions
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and communicate with parents and school staff
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Promote health education and wellness programs within the school community
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and valid Vermont RN or LPN license
- Experience working in school health or pediatric nursing preferred
- Ability to effectively manage multiple student health concerns with professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
