Make a real difference in the lives of young learners as a part-time Registered Nurse in an elementary school setting near Milford, NH. This contract opportunity focuses on supporting students' daily health needs in a caring, dynamic environment. Youll work three full days per weekflexible within the schools scheduleproviding vital care and guidance to students, including those with diabetes and autism. Your expertise will help ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active RN license in New Hampshire
- Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric nursing, or a related setting strongly preferred
- Skilled in diabetes management, including blood glucose monitoring and insulin administration
- Understanding and experience supporting children with autism is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Empathetic, patient, and able to work independently
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, compassionate care to elementary students, with particular focus on those managing chronic conditions such as diabetes
- Support students and staff regarding health concerns, first aid, and minor injuries or illnesses during school hours
- Monitor, document, and manage health records in accordance with state and local policies
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to foster a healthy school environment, ensuring proper care plans are followed
- Educate students, staff, and families about ongoing health and wellness strategies
- Maintain a safe, confidential, and welcoming health room for all students
