Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
- Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or public health strongly preferred
- Able to work independently and adapt to the dynamic needs of a school health office
- Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to respond promptly to illnesses, injuries, and health concerns
- Committed to upholding confidentiality and ethical healthcare standards
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide daily healthcare support to students and staff from July 6 through August 14
- Administer routine and emergency care, medications, and treatments as prescribed
- Maintain accurate and thorough health records in compliance with all regulations
- Educate students and staff on best practices for wellness and safety
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to address individual health plans
- Promote a safe and healthy environment in the schools health room
