Job Description

Make a difference in the daily life of a student by providing caring support as a School LPN for a unique opportunity supporting educational mobility near Merrimack, NH. This contract role is specifically tailored for a dedicated nursing professional who can commit to Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY) transport assistance. Your expertise will ensure the safe transit of a student with specialized needs, focusing on compassion and reliability.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid and active LPN or higher nursing license (NH preferred or compact)
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with non-verbal, mobility-challenged students, preferably with AAC device experience
  • CPR and First Aid certifications required
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff
  • Must complete district-specific onboarding, including a fingerprint background check

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Accompany a student on the school bus each morning (approx. 7:259:30) and afternoon (returning around 1:00 for pickup)
  • Monitor and assist with the student's healthcare needs during transit, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
  • Collaborate with the students care team as needed to provide updates and relay any concerns
  • Maintain accurate documentation of any incidents or concerns during transportation
  • Exhibit professionalism, empathy, and dedication throughout every interaction
