A professional Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide skilled nursing care in a K-12 school setting in Melrose, NM. This contract position offers a consistent 37.5-hour week, five days per week, supporting the health and wellness of students throughout the school year (CSY).
Key Qualifications:
- Current New Mexico RN Certification
- Experience in school nursing is preferred
- Ability to deliver nursing care tailored to children and adolescents (K-12)
- Strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with school staff and families
- Basic knowledge of public health and student health regulations
Location:
- Melrose, New Mexico
- Serving students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade
Responsibilities:
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for students
- Provide first aid and emergency care as needed
- Manage chronic conditions and administer medications following healthcare plans
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and healthcare providers
