Job Description

This contract opportunity focuses on providing essential nursing expertise to two school sites, from preschool through 8th grade, for a well-organized district near Meadow Vista, CA. Your primary focus will be on conducting Health and Development components of IEP assessments, preparing detailed reports for the educational team, and being available to review these with families as requested. Additionally, youll contribute your clinical know-how to developing, updating, and implementing healthcare plans, while consulting or training staff for specialized needs like tube feeding and EpiPen use. Your efforts will truly help empower educators and families, ensuring students get the support they need.

What Were Looking For:

  • Active California RN licensure (required)
  • Experience in school nursing or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Understanding of IEP teams and school-based assessments
  • Strong collaborative skills and a family-centered approach
  • Skilled in training and supporting staff on healthcare interventions
  • Detail-oriented, with clear documentation and report writing abilities

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct health/development IEP assessments and submit timely reports
  • Review reports and findings with families as requested
  • Develop, update, and maintain individualized healthcare plans for students
  • Provide consultation and targeted staff training for higher-acuity needs
  • Rotate support between two school sites, serving a diverse student body (Preschool8th grade)
