Make a difference in a students life by providing dedicated 1:1 nursing support in a dynamic school environment near Manassas. This contract opportunity is ideal for skilled Registered Nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and thrive in an educational setting. Youll work closely with school staff, students, and families to ensure the well-being and health of a student requiring daily medical attention.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Active RN license in Virginia
- Experience as an RN, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to provide 1:1 care and build rapport with students
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience with medically fragile children or 1:1 nursing preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a student throughout the school day
- Support complex medical needs such as medication administration, g-tube feeding, seizure monitoring, or mobility assistance
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all care provided
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to ensure a safe, supportive environment
- Educate school staff and students on health-related topics as needed
- Respond effectively to emergencies and advocate for the students best interests
- Uphold all school and state health policies and procedures
