Job Description

In this full-time, onsite contract position as a Registered Nurse, you'll play an essential part in a school-based setting near Machesney Park, IL. Your focus will be working 1:1 with a student, ensuring they have access to a safe, inclusive educational environment. Depending on the assigned caseload, you will either provide individualized care for a 3-year-old student who is vent dependent or support an 18-year-old student with trach needs.

Bring your clinical skills where they are valued and make a daily impact. Candidates should be dedicated, reliable, and compassionate, with a desire to collaborate closely with students, families, and school teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois RN license (required)
  • Prior experience with pediatric trach care and/or ventilator dependence preferred
  • Ability to provide thoughtful, attentive, and individualized nursing care
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1:1 nursing services and interventions consistent with each students care plan
  • Monitor and manage ventilator/trach equipment throughout the school day
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Document interventions and communicate any changes in health status promptly
  • Foster a positive, supportive atmosphere for student growth and learning

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
