This contract, full-time position focuses on delivering 1:1 nursing support for a 3-year-old student who is ventilator dependent, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active RN license issued by the state of Illinois
- Experience in pediatric and/or school nursing strongly preferred
- Skilled in providing care for students requiring ventilator support
- Committed to maintaining a nurturing and professional environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care during school hours, with a focus on supporting the students complex medical needs
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage respiratory equipment
- Respond promptly to emergencies and implement protocols as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of all healthcare activities and updates to the care plan
- Serve as a resource to school staff and coordinate with families and multidisciplinary teams
- Foster a positive and safe school experience for the student
