Job Description
A contract position is available for a Registered Nurse at a middle school located in Lynn, MA. This role focuses on providing specialized nursing care within a school health room setting, offering support to a small caseload of students, including those managing diabetes.
Location: Lynn, MA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:50 AM 1:50 PM
Student Age Group: Middle School
Caseload: Approximately 5 students with diabetes
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Experience in school nursing preferred
- Ability to manage and care for students with chronic health conditions such as diabetes
Responsibilities:
- Deliver daily nursing care and health assessments to middle school students
- Manage medication administration and emergency care plans, especially for students with diabetes
- Maintain accurate health records and communication with school staff and families
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment
- Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as needed
