Job Description

This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialized nursing care in a school setting in Medford, MA. The role involves working Monday through Friday with a 1:1 caseload, supporting a student requiring seizure medication, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube management. The nurse will accompany the student during bus transportation to and from school, ensuring safety and consistent care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and monitor seizure medication, tracheostomy care, suctioning, and G-tube feeding
  • Provide individualized nursing care tailored to the students medical needs
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to support the students health and educational goals
  • Ensure safety during bus transportation by riding along with the student
  • Maintain accurate health records and document all care activities in compliance with state regulations

Qualifications:

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
  • Experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in school or community settings
  • Competency in managing complex medical equipment and procedures such as tracheostomy and gastrostomy care
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families
  • Commitment to student well-being and safety during transportation and school hours
