Bring your nursing expertise to a rewarding setting supporting students as a school-based Registered Nurse in the Loves Park, IL area. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children who require specialized care during their school day.
Youll work 1:1 with either a 3-year-old student who is vent dependent or an 18-year-old student with trach needs, providing essential medical assistance and a caring presence that helps each student thrive academically and socially.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous nursing experience with pediatric, tracheostomy, or ventilator-dependent populations strongly preferred
- Comfortable providing individualized care in a school environment
- Strong communication skills with students, families, and school staff
- Reliability and a genuine passion for fostering student well-being
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to the assigned student throughout the school day
- Monitor vital signs, manage trach or vent care, and respond calmly to health emergencies
- Collaborate with school staff, educators, and family to ensure continuity of care
- Assist with daily routines, transportation, and classroom integration as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation of care and report on health status updates

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.00 to $45.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
