This part-time role caters to an RN with a keen interest in school-based nursing, specifically for an Extended School Year (ESY) Program. This assignment runs from June 17, 2026, through July 17, 2026, Monday through Friday, with tentative shifts of 8:00 AM12:30 PM or 8:30 AM1:00 PM. Youll deliver vital health services and promote student wellness in close collaboration with faculty and parents.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Active California RN license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is a must
- Ability to work all scheduled program dates and hours
- Reliable transportation and proximity to worksite are essential
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- School nurse credential preferredcredentialed applicants given priority
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to students, including medication administration, care for chronic conditions, and response to health emergencies
- Collaborate with staff and families to promote health education and ensure compliance with individualized care plans
- Maintain accurate health records in line with school policies and regulations
- Monitor and manage communicable disease outbreaks and report as appropriate
