Embark on a rewarding contract role supporting students as a caring, self-sufficient school nurse in a dynamic academic environment near Liberty, MO. In this float RN position, you'll be an essential resource across PreK-12th grade sitesserving multiple locations, responding to diverse student health needs, and helping shape a healthy campus environment. Your week-to-week schedule will vary based on school start/end times, field trip needs, and coverage requirements, making adaptability and clear communication key to success.

Key Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license in Missouri (verified on Nursys)
• Strong pediatric nursing backgroundrecent experience in ICU, ER, or schools highly preferred
• Comfortable independently managing a health room and providing care to students from PreK through high school
• Technologically proficientable to document via computer-based charting systems
• Skilled multitasker, adaptable to rapidly changing schedules and varied school settings
• Flexible availability; schedules are provided each Sunday and may shift according to daily needs
• Not open to new graduates; seasoned pediatric experience is essential
• Ready for Zoom interviews and prescreening by phone

Core Responsibilities:

• Float across the district, covering multiple sites and field trips as needed
• Provide direct health care and emergency response for PreK-12 student populations
• Conduct health screenings, administer medication, and manage individualized student care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records
• Train with an experienced nurse for two weeks, then operate independently as the health resource at assigned schools
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and district leadership to ensure best outcomes for students
• Remain communicative and responsive as daily assignments may vary depending on district needs
