This opportunity is for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position in a school setting, supporting a 4th grade special needs student in Liberty, MO. The role requires a skilled nurse comfortable with complex pediatric care, including management of a g-tube, wheelchair assistance, and seizure disorder support. The nurse will escort the student to and from school, primarily at an elementary school site, with a schedule of approximately 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one nursing care for the assigned student throughout the school day
- Managing the school health clinic independently when the student is not in attendance
- Serving students across PreK-12 grades as needed with flexibility in daily assignments
- Utilizing electronic health record systems for timely and accurate documentation and charting
- Coordinating with school staff and families to optimize health and safety protocols
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Registered Nurse license in Missouri, verified with no restrictions or holds
- Recent pediatric nursing experience, preferably in ICU, Emergency Room, or school nursing settings
- Ability to work independently, make clinical decisions, and manage emergencies confidently
- Strong technology skills for electronic charting and multitasking in a dynamic environment
- Comfortable assisting students with special healthcare needs and adaptive equipment

Assignment type: Contract, full-time
Start date: Immediate availability preferred, through May 28th
