In this contract role, you will provide dedicated one-on-one nursing care for a student requiring support during the academic year. You'll be stepping in during a current staff members maternity leave, ensuring continuity of care and a smooth transition for the student.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Maine
- Previous experience in pediatric, school, or clinical nursing settings preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Capable of working independently and calmly in a school environment
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized nursing care to a student, covering daily health needs and any medical procedures necessary during school hours
- Collaborate with school staff, administration, and the student's family to ensure seamless care coordination
- Maintain detailed health records and documentation per school policies
- Monitor and respond to any health concerns, emergencies, or medication needs
- Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations at all times
This position begins as soon as possible and will follow a flexible schedule: 1-2 days per week for the remainder of the current school year and extended school year, followed by full-time hours beginning the next school year.
