A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse to provide essential health services in a dynamic school setting near Kansas City, MO. This contract position offers 35-40 hours per week and involves supporting students across various grade levels, from Pre-K through 12th grade. The role requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will float throughout the school district, covering multiple sitesincluding health rooms and field tripsin a single day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care to students across Pre-K to 12th grade in diverse school environments.
- Respond promptly to student health needs, including minor injuries and illness assessments.
- Support school staff with health-related guidance and emergency actions.
- Participate in field trips as the health representative to ensure student wellness.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with school and state regulations.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student health and safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Missouri is required.
- Pediatric nursing experience (PEDS) is essential.
- Comfort working with a wide age rangefrom early childhood to adolescents.
- Strong flexibility to adapt to varied schedules and multiple school sites daily.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
