A full-time registered nurse role is available in Lees Summit, MO, supporting a school setting with a specialized caseload. This position focuses primarily on providing dedicated care to a 4th grade female student with special needs, including management of G-tube feeding, seizure disorder, and wheelchair mobility. The nurse will also have responsibilities supporting the broader school clinic when the student is not in attendance, requiring flexibility across PreK-12 settings within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for a student with special medical needs during school hours.
• Accompany student to and from school via bus barn and ride; main site is an elementary school.
• Independently manage a school clinic, including decision-making and coordination of care.
• Assist with clinic duties across multiple grade levels when the primary student is absent.
• Conduct thorough and accurate electronic charting using clinic software.
• Collaborate with school staff and healthcare coordinators to support student health and safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Missouri RN license with no disciplinary issues; verification through Nursys required.
• Recent clinical experience in pediatrics, preferably ICU, ER, or school nursing settings.
• Proficient with electronic medical record charting and comfortable multitasking.
• Ability to work independently and confidently in a school environment.
• Strong communication skills and adaptability to work with students from PreK-12.

Position Details:

• Location: Lees Summit, Missouri (no travel outside the area required)
• Schedule: Approximately 8:15 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday
• Contract Role: Start immediately through May 28th
