Provide professional nursing care in an elementary school setting, supporting the health and well-being of students in a dedicated health room. This full-time contract opportunity offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM, allowing for a consistent routine working with young children in a supportive educational environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Pennsylvania LPN or RN license
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred
- Ability to manage health room operations and respond to student health needs effectively
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with staff, parents, and healthcare providers
Location:
- Based in Columbia, Pennsylvania
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor the health status of elementary students
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
- Provide emergency care and first aid as needed
- Promote a safe and healthy school environment through education and preventive measures
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student health
