Job Description

Provide specialized nursing care in a school setting for a student with unique medical needs. This part-time position (15 hours per week, Tuesdays and Thursdays) is based in Lakewood, NJ, supporting a bright 4th-grade student who uses a wheelchair and requires oxygen support due to PRM3 Myopathy. The role demands compassion, attention to detail, and collaboration with educational staff to promote a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care throughout the school day.
• Monitor and manage the student's medical equipment and oxygen support.
• Respond promptly to health-related needs and emergencies.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding health status.
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school health policies.
• Support the students participation in general education activities to the fullest extent.

Qualifications:

• Current New Jersey RN licensure is required.
• Experience in school nursing or pediatric care preferred.
• Knowledge of managing complex medical conditions in a school environment.
• Strong interpersonal and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently with a gentle and patient approach.

• Lakewood, NJ (School-based setting)

Employment Type:

• Part-time contract through June 23, 2026
• Two days per week (Tuesday and Thursday)
