Job Description
A part-time registered nurse opportunity is available supporting a bright 4th-grade student in an elementary school setting located near Lakewood, NJ. This contract position runs from now through June 23, 2026, requiring coverage two days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays) for approximately 15 hours weekly.
The student receives general education with additional support and has a diagnosis of PRM3 Myopathy, requiring wheelchair use throughout the school day and oxygen support. This is a 1:1 nursing position dedicated to ensuring the students health, safety, and well-being during school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized nursing care and health monitoring in compliance with the students medical care plan
- Administer oxygen therapy and assist with mobility needs throughout the school day
- Collaborate closely with school personnel, families, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation
- Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or changes in condition
Qualifications:
- Active New Jersey RN license/certification is required
- Experience with pediatric nursing in school or clinical settings preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate, attentive care tailored to the students complex medical needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
