This contract position calls for a skilled Registered Nurse with a passion for pediatric and school-based nursing to serve in a district-wide capacity. Youll work onsite, supporting students and staff with a 30+ hour per week schedule.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in pediatric or school nursing settings and are comfortable managing a diverse caseload. As part of this role, youll make a meaningful difference every day by promoting health, safety, and wellness throughout the district.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Minnesota RN license (required)
- Experience in school, pediatric, or district-wide nursing roles strongly preferred
- Certification as a School Nurse (CSN) highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to various school environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with school staff, counselors, and families to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with policy standards
- Respond to health emergencies and implement care plans for students with medical needs
- Participate in wellness promotion and disease prevention initiatives
