Exciting opportunity for a passionate nursing professional to provide essential healthcare support within a vibrant high school environment near Minneapolis, MN. This contract position, starting as soon as possible, is a long-term substitute assignment lasting 6-8 weeks. As a valued member of the Health Room Support team, youll work full-timeup to 34 hours per weekmaking a meaningful impact on students health and well-being.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN or LPN/LVN license in Minnesota required
- Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred
- Able to assess and respond to student health needs efficiently and professionally
- Strong communications skills for interaction with students, parents, and faculty
- Skilled in documentation, care coordination, and emergency response
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide daily care for students in the health room, including first aid, medication administration, and chronic illness management
- Collaborate with school staff to support students individual health plans
- Monitor and document student visits and interventions in accordance with state and school policies
- Manage health screenings and immunization compliance, and support communicable disease prevention efforts
- Act as a resource for staff and students regarding health education and wellness promotion
