This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, through May 27, 2027, with hours from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance and a consistent weekday schedule.
In this role, you will draw on your expertise in school nursing and special education, making a real difference for children with unique needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse Endorsement
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with experience in school settings preferred
- Background in special education environments is highly advantageous
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive school community
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, first aid, and health assessments to students
- Develop and implement individualized health plans, including for students in special education
- Serve as a liaison between school staff, families, and healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate health records and support reporting requirements
- Educate students and staff on health, wellness, and disease prevention
- Participate actively in the multidisciplinary team to advocate for student needs
