What You'll Need:
- Valid RN license in the state of New York
- Prior experience in a school health room or working with K-12 students preferred
- Ability to assess, triage, and manage minor injuries or illnesses
- Strong communication skills to interact with students, families, and school staff
- Commitment to maintaining accurate student health records and confidentiality
- CPR/BLS certification and knowledge of health regulations for schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver routine and emergency nursing care to students and staff during school hours
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Manage students with chronic health conditions, allergies, or special medical needs
- Monitor and respond to communicable illnesses as needed
- Serve as a health resource by providing guidance and health education to students and staff
- Maintain the health room in compliance with regulatory standards
