Make a difference each day supporting the well-being of students as a dedicated Registered Nurse in a vibrant K-12 school setting near Lake View and Jamestown, NY. This full-time contract position invites you to play a crucial role in the schools Health Room, providing compassionate and skilled care for students in grades K-12.
Your expertise as a licensed RN will ensure a healthy environment where children can thrive and focus on learning. Work collaboratively with faculty, families, and healthcare professionals to promote the wellness of every student on campus.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license in New York
- Previous experience in a school health setting or working with children is highly valued
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering a safe, caring, and supportive environment for diverse student populations
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage student health concerns and chronic conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and first aid as needed
- Maintain accurate health records and documentation in compliance with policies
- Develop care plans for students with specific medical needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support students health and educational goals
- Promote health education, hygiene, and wellness initiatives throughout the school
