A healthcare professional with pediatric expertise is needed for a travel nursing assignment in LaGrange, IN, supporting a middle school student requiring specialized 1:1 care with tracheostomy support. This full-time, onsite role will begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year, providing critical nursing care in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a student with tracheostomy needs in a middle school environment
- Monitor and manage tracheostomy equipment and airway maintenance
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to ensure the students safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing assessments, interventions, and student progress
- Respond to any medical emergencies promptly and effectively
Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse with a BSN degree licensed to practice in Indiana
- Previous pediatric nursing experience, preferably with tracheostomy care
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to provide compassionate, individualized care
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a school setting
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the student and school
