A skilled Registered Nurse is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support for a Kindergarten student with specialized vent/trach needs in a school setting located in Kent, WA. This full-time, onsite role involves supporting the student's health and medical needs throughout the school day, including assistance during bus transportation. When the student is absent, the nurse will assist with other nursing responsibilities within the school health rooms or support additional students district-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for a Kindergarten student requiring vent/trach support, ensuring safety and well-being during school hours.
- Provide assistance during the student's bus transportation to and from school.
- Support the school district with nursing duties in health rooms or with other students when the primary student is absent.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to maintain consistent health management and communication.
- Document nursing interventions and maintain compliance with district and healthcare guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license for the state of Washington.
- Experience in pediatric nursing, particularly with vent/trach care, is highly preferred.
- Ability to perform nursing duties autonomously in a school environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Position Details:
