A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available to provide essential 1:1 nursing support for a kindergarten student with ventilator and tracheostomy needs. Located onsite at a school in Kent, WA, this contract role involves direct care and supporting the students health needs throughout the school day. The RN will also provide transportation assistance for the student to and from school. When the student is absent, the nurse will assist with general nursing duties within the districts health rooms or support other students as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive 1:1 nursing care for a kindergarten student with vent/trach needs
- Monitor and manage medical equipment and tracheostomy care throughout the school day
- Provide transportation support for the student by bus
- Perform nursing duties in the school health room or assist other students when primary student is absent
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure the students well-being and safety
Qualifications:
- Valid Washington state RN license
- Experience supporting students with complex medical needs in schools preferred
- Knowledge of ventilator and tracheostomy care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work onsite full time (37.5 hours/week)
