A registered nurse (RN) opportunity is available at a high school in Kent, WA, offering a unique hybrid role supporting both preschool health needs and providing dedicated 1:1 nursing care. This contract position spans the current school year with a schedule of 32.5 hours per week. The RN will help ensure the health, safety, and well-being of students through hands-on care and health room management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care in the preschool health room on Mondays and Wednesdays
- Provide 1:1 nursing support to a student at the high school on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays
- Administer medication and treatments according to established protocols
- Monitor student health status and maintain accurate health records
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote student wellness
- Respond effectively to health emergencies or acute needs within the school environment
Qualifications:
- Active Washington State RN license is required
- Prior 1:1 nursing experience preferred, especially involving pediatric or adolescent populations
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Strong communication and organizational skills tailored to school nursing
- Flexibility to work across two settings within the school system
Location: Kent Meridian High School, Kent, WA
Compensation:
- RN rate $80 per hour
