Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Missouri, in good standing (verified via Nursys, no restrictions)
- Recent pediatric experience strongly preferredparticularly from ICU, ER, or school-based settings
- Comfort working autonomously, often as the sole nurse on site after initial training
- Proficient computer skills for thorough electronic charting and multitasking
- Flexibility and adaptability to shifting schedules and assignmentsmust be comfortable floating between schools and covering field trips
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience with PreK-12th grade populations highly desirable
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a floating health room nurse across multiple schools, ensuring student safety and wellness
- Manage a range of health needs, from daily care to emergency situations
- Work closely with educators, families, and administrative staff to support student health plans
- Participate in field trips, traveling as needed between sites each day
- Provide thorough documentation using electronic health records
- Complete comprehensive training followed by independent nursing responsibilities
