Registered Nurse School Setting
Location: Near Kansas City, MO
Job Type: Contract (35-40 hours per week)
A healthcare professional registered nurse is needed to serve in a dynamic school setting near Kansas City, MO. This position requires flexibility and the ability to float across multiple school sites within the district, supporting students from PreK through 12th grade. You will play a key role as a general health room nurse, providing care at various locations including field trips and daily visits to more than one school site.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care and health services across multiple school sites within the district
- Provide medical support and health education to students from PreK to 12th grade
- Attend and provide nursing services during school field trips as required
- Manage health room operations, maintain student health records, and coordinate with school staff on student wellness
- Respond promptly to health emergencies and communicate with parents and healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain compliance with school health policies and state nursing standards
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Missouri
- Pediatric nursing experience is required
- Comfortable working with a wide age range from PreK through 12th grade
- Flexible schedule and ability to float to multiple school locations during the day
- Strong communication and organizational skills
