Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity serving as a dedicated School Registered Nurse supporting a student with medical fragilities throughout the academic year. As a 1:1 nurse, you'll work full-time within an engaging school setting, taking on meaningful responsibilities that ensure safety and well-being. There may also be the unique opportunity to provide care during bus transportation, offering continuous support throughout the student's day.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted RN license
- Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support students with complex medical needs
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit
- Reliable, compassionate, and able to remain calm in dynamic situations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care to a student with medical fragilities during school hours and potentially during bus transportation
- Monitor and respond to the students health needs, including medication administration, emergency interventions, and routine care
- Collaborate with educational staff and the students care team to promote a safe and inclusive environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any medical incidents
- Participate in team meetings and communicate clearly with families regarding care plans
