Job Description

A part-time, onsite nursing opportunity is available for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN/LVN) and Registered Nurses (RN) with experience in school settings. This position supports the health and well-being of a 7-year-old student on a 1:1 caseload basis, providing personalized care in an educational environment.

Location: Joliet, IL (travel position)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care and health assessments tailored to the individual needs of the assigned student
  • Monitor and document medical conditions and treatments while collaborating with school staff and healthcare providers
  • Implement health plans, administer medications, and respond to emergencies as needed
  • Advocate for the students health and safety within the school setting

Qualifications:

  • Current LPN/LVN or RN licensure with school nursing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of pediatric nursing care, particularly in school environments
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to work independently while managing a 1:1 caseload
