Bring your expertise as a Registered Nurse to make a daily impact in a school environment near Joliet, IL! This contract position offers the opportunity to be involved in the full spectrum of student health services, supporting one school site throughout the academic year.
Your role will place you at the heart of student careoverseeing the health office while collaborating with staff and families to ensure every childs well-being. In addition to daily nursing responsibilities, you will play a key part in the IEP and 504 processes, conducting necessary medical reviews and actively participating as a valued team member.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Illinois
- Experience in a school setting or working with pediatric populations preferred
- Knowledge of IEP and 504 accommodation procedures a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
What Youll Do:
- Provide nursing care, first aid, and manage health office operations for students and staff
- Document health records and update them regularly
- Complete thorough medical reviews for students and contribute to IEP and 504 meetings
- Respond effectively to health emergencies and communicate with parents and faculty
- Foster a safe, healthy school environment by collaborating with educational teams
This contract begins August 10, 2026, and continues through May 21, 2027, working 37.5 hours per week during the school year.
