What you bring:
- Valid Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license
- Registered Nurse (RN) credentials with school-based nursing experience preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 processes
- Ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to student well-being and confidentiality
Your key responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the school health office, offering first aid and managing student health concerns
- Conduct medical reviews and develop individualized health care plans
- Participate actively in IEP and 504 meetings, integrating health recommendations into education plans
- Maintain meticulous documentation and uphold student health records in accordance with regulations
- Collaborate with educators, families, and healthcare providers to support each childs unique needs
- Educate staff and students on health policies, preventive care, and emergency protocols
