Job Description

A full-time Registered Nurse position is available to provide health room services in a K-12 school setting near Glen Ellyn, IL. This contract role starts as soon as possible and continues through the end of February, serving the current school year. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in school nursing, ensuring the health and safety of students throughout the academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer first aid and manage acute and chronic health conditions in the school setting
  • Conduct health screenings and assessments as required
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students
  • Educate students and staff on health policies and wellness practices
  • Coordinate with parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding student health issues
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies within the school community

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license
  • Experience or training in school nursing preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of pediatric healthcare and developmental stages beneficial

Location: Near Glen Ellyn, Illinois
Duration: Contract through February, full-time appointment
