Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered NJ RN license required
- Proven experience as a School Nurse; minimum of one year preferred
- Background in public health, pediatric, or community nursing
- Outstanding communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new environments
- CPR/BLS certification
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care, including assessments, medication administration, and emergency response
- Promote wellness and implement preventive health strategies
- Keep meticulous health records and comply with state/school policies
- Collaborate with parents, faculty, and local health resources
- Educate students and staff on health and safety best practices
- Respond to emerging health needs across multiple school sites
