Bring your expertise and compassion to a rewarding contract position supporting an elementary-aged student with specialized health needs. This assignment runs from June 1 to June 26, with full-time, weekday hours on-site in a dynamic, supportive school environment near Jersey City, NJ.

In this vital role, youll provide one-on-one nursing support for a non-ambulatory 3-year-old student diagnosed with Infantile Neuroaxonal Dystrophy (INAD). Responsibilities include managing an NG-tube (not a G-tube), assisting with lifts and transports (student weighs approximately 24 lbs), and ensuring the students health and safety throughout the school day including during bus transport to and from school. The structured workday is from 8am to 3pm, totaling around 35 hours per week.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license in New Jersey
• Recent experience working with children in a healthcare or educational setting
• Comfortable with NG-tube care and pediatric lifting
• Ability to provide care for non-ambulatory and medically fragile students
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer daily nursing interventions and emergent care
• Maintain accurate records of student health and interventions
• Communicate effectively with educational staff, families, and transportation personnel
• Safely manage student on the school bus as required
