A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to provide comprehensive school-based nursing services at a high school level. This contract role spans a full semester, beginning ASAP and concluding on June 26, 2026. The RN will support the health and wellness of students, managing a high school caseload and servicing the entire school building.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing and addressing students' health needs within the school setting
- Managing acute and chronic medical conditions, emergencies, and medication administration
- Collaborating with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to promote student well-being
- Maintaining accurate health records and documentation
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols
Qualified candidates will possess:
- Active Registered Nurse license and certifications in New Jersey
- Previous school nursing experience, preferably at the high school level
- Ability to manage a full caseload in a school building environment
- Completion of required health screenings including TB test and physical exam
- Fingerprint clearance as required by state regulations
- Flexibility to participate in in-person and/or virtual interviews
This position is based in Orange, NJ, and requires a commitment of 35 hours per week. The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on student health within a dynamic educational environment.
