Job Description
Provide essential nursing care in educational settings as a School Nurse (RN) in Ithaca, NY, supporting middle and elementary school students across multiple district sites. This full-time, onsite contract position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student health and wellness throughout the school year, beginning January 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing services across 12 school sites within the district, primarily serving middle and elementary school students.
- Provide health assessments, manage chronic conditions, and handle emergencies.
- Assist fellow nurses and provide coverage as needed throughout various schools.
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid New York Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric care strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel between multiple school locations within the district.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time position with hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Onsite role based in Ithaca, NY, servicing an itinerant caseload across 12 school sites.
