Make a meaningful impact in a local school community by supporting a young student as a School RN on a contract basis. This position focuses specifically on riding the bus with a kindergarten student who has Type 1 Diabetes, providing the specialized care and reassurance needed for a safe commute to and from school near Irvington, NJ.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active RN license in the state
- Previous pediatric nursing experience, preferably in a school setting
- Background with diabetic care strongly preferred
- Comfort and skill in monitoring, intervening, and communicating with young children
- Demonstrated reliability and professionalism
Key Responsibilities:
- Ride the school bus with a kindergarten student recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes
- Monitor the students health and blood glucose levels during the commute
- Recognize and respond promptly to any diabetic-related symptoms or emergencies
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with the student, bus staff, and school nurse team
- Ensure comfort and safety for the student throughout each journey
- Keep accurate records as needed for continuity of care
