A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide dedicated, one-on-one nursing care in an early childhood school setting. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the current school year, offering approximately 35 hours per week. The role is onsite in Irvine, CA, supporting a single student with complex medical needs throughout the school day.
Location: Irvine, CA
Job Type: Contract, Current School Year (CSY)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM 1:30 PM (approximately 35 hours per week)
Caseload: One student in an early childhood educational setting
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering continuous nursing care to one student with specialized medical needs
- Performing suctioning, tube feedings, and respiratory assistance as required
- Managing transportation care from students home to school and vice versa (student resides nearby)
- Collaborating closely with school staff and family to provide safe and effective health support
- Maintaining compliance with state nursing standards and school health policies
Qualifications:
- Current, active California RN license mandatory
- Experience in pediatric nursing and school nursing preferred
- Skills in respiratory care, suctioning, and tube feeding administration essential
- Ability to work independently and provide compassionate care in a 1:1 setting
