As an RN, youll float between PreK-12th grade sites, adapting to ever-changing daily needs, field trips, and special events. This contract assignment is ideal for experienced pediatric nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and value independence.

Key Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Missouri RN license (verified via Nursys; no disciplinary history)
• Recent pediatric experience strongly preferred (especially ICU, ER, or school nursing)
• Confident working independently as the primary health professional on-site after initial training
• Proficient with computer-based charting and strong multitasking abilities
• Comfortable caring for PreK through high school students, adapting nursing care as needed
• Flexible schedule availabilitywilling to accept week-to-week and day-of assignment changes
• Strong communicator, able to interface professionally with students, staff, and families
• Not a new graduate; solid, hands-on clinical experience in pediatric settings required

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to students across multiple school sites, including first aid, illness assessment, and medication administration
• Independently operate school health rooms after a comprehensive two-week orientation
• Accompany students on field trips as assigned, ensuring safety and health needs are met
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and manage confidential student information
• Respond to urgent health concerns or call-outs by prioritizing and adapting quickly to new sites
• Serve as a valuable resource for general health education and wellness within the district

Anticipate weekly hours between 35-40 with varied shifts (starting between 7:00am9:00am and ending by 2:30pm4:30pm), depending on assignment and school level.
